My obese bunk mate sleeping on the upper-deck was flung off the bed on the right side. On our left was the wall. I was sleeping below him (coz I was old bird that time...) I never dare sleep against the wall after that.

i always try to go kachiau ghosts, step on joss sticks, swim in a pool at midnight on the 7th months where a girl had drowned before (not telling where) read them wierdo verses, do that spirit guiding your fingers over that piece of paper where they write letters and numbers on it, but never actually seen or experienced ghostly stuff before sighs. my friends say it's because i WANT to see a ghost, that i never get to see one. but if i don't want to see a ghost, i will. so.... :?

cos ive been there like 4 or 5 times

chester277, maybe you can try sleeping at a cemetery? Or from a Russel Lee book I read, sell salt there. haha.
Personally I think we only see these kinda stuff when we are half sleepy or something. Sometime's we just assume too fast. One time I was sleeping in bed, I always put my guitar at the top bunk. On that night it was a classical guitar, then I was awokened in the morning by the sound of the A string being plucked repeatedly. It freaked me out cause it sounded like it came from above. Turns out it was just the radio from the next room.
Another one, I was playing with my computer late night. Then I heard the sound of someone sweeping the floor outside my window(I live on the 1st floor), I looked out and didn't see anything, the sound stopped as well. When I continued doing my stuff the sound continued. Stopped after a while. It's possible that it was just the wind blowing some leaves and it sounded like it was being sweeped, but I kinda heard the dustpan thingy as well. Could be my imagination.
I've been told by friends that in NS, you'll experience these kinda things so much that you get bored of them.

Woodlands-Marsiling area has the highest number of ghost sightings for the past 10 years.
Remember True Singapore Ghost Stories Book 1 where Russell Lee had taken a picture of a "pocong" (some kind of a mummy). The exact location was the forest where it now houses Republic Polytechnic.
The empty block across the church (Blk 852 Woodlands Street 83) is also the talk amongst Woodlands Residents for the past 8 years. Somehow it happened when a young girl was brutally murdered at the ground floor of the lift lobby in 1992.
Blk 825 (just across Woodlands MRT) is also well known for sightings of toyols. Apparently a bomoh used to stay there and own toyols. Maybe this toyol was left out?
The small park in Woodlands Street 13 is the famous haunting ground for pontianaks. Somehow, this used to be a sacrifice place for bomohs to sacrifice young virgins.
Another plot of land (which houses Marsiling Secondary School now) is also a former sacfricial place.
Finally.... if u walk further up Woodlands Street 13, there will be a big canal which leads into straits of Johor. If u stayed there on Thursday at around 1-2 pm, u will see a figure of a man fishing there in the dark. It was told that the piece of land there used to be the sea.

Btw, the 852 block is now ok. SOmehow i heard it was clensed by a taoist medium some times ago. Now not much sightings was heard in the block.

I don't know much about other areas except for the west side, and I can tell you only this much.
The old house at kent ridge(Lt Adnan house) before it was developed into a touristy area, used to be dilapitated and run down..My friend had seen a man hanging from the tree thats there and a lady-ish figure standing behind the window beckoning her(my friend)
Actually at the hillview house theres a story I'd like to share.To summarize briefly, there used to be a group of guys and gals(I won't say who-for the sake of legal implications) who used to frequent that house(and ambush) with different groups of people by dressing up in white cloths and long hair wigs waiting an hour ahead of the main party to scare them off the house.
One day, the tables turned and the group"(who never found out that they were being "punked") that was supposed to be scared by the "actors"-(people I know), swore that they saw 2 figures in white standing on the second floor staring at them.one of the figures had an arm over the other's shoulder.
One of the white figures is someone I know very well, the other one, well nobody knows till today, cos the actors had only one white suit between themselves.

I used to park my car on the 7th storey of Causeway Point, the cinema level that is. It overlooks the rooftop of the MRT station and there used to be a wide collonial structure among the trees. I never check it out, and I don't read Russell Lee because I know some of the stories are fake.
I did read up a little on Block 825 but there are no substantial official reports to link the block to murder. The staircase has since been sealed up with gates to prevent illegal gatherings (Yea, there used to be drug gatherings there) and also to prevent vandalism when the doors are being damaged when some try to gain access into the flats.
The block is being left out for SARS emergency, hence it is not for sale. All residents here who contracted/suspected of SARS in the event of an outbreak will be isolated in Block 825, to minimize contact travelling around in an ambulance. That's what Block 825 is all about.

this is based on my research and interviews frm some woodlands residents... just my 20 cents of kaypoh-ing...
and i dun beleve 50% of wat russell says anyway...

the forest used to be where view road hospital is... it was demolished in 2002 to make way for Republic Polytechnic

every thursday nite, katong village gets haunted by a ghost , this ghoul walks amongst us and is very talented indeed.
often seen in black or an awful dark blue trousers that shines in the dark and playing an ibanez guitar, some say its on loan to him....but i dare not ask.
the entity emits a foul stench, that of those clove cigarettes indonesians are so fond of and i believe it demands food after one in the morning.
sometines the entity seems tired but sometimes refreshed..mayhap the offerings were great earlier.....
historians and supernatural investigators actually traced and discovered that the once great COLONEL (enil) ANGUS walks amongst us mortals yet again......

experience colonel angus together with his big brown beaver band at
terry's fender tavern...

There was once my band was jamming at peninsular, then we played quite a number of metal songs. When we played a cover of Black Label by Lamb Of God. We were pretty tired so there was no vocals. Then some of us actually heard this weak husky and hoarse voice that went like "Grr.." on and on. As we were playing that song through out and it felt kindda weird in that jamming studio. Creepy..
