i dunno abt you guys, but to me i'd say even the previous contestants sound better than her.
maybe the judges have never heard the song before but its way off imo.
i was surprised with the judges's comments.

honestly i think singapore's standard super low. i think the judges very lenient. dunno why also. i think some of them that can make it go american idol gone alr.

I'm going to wait till youtube has videos of each girl's performances. I only caught Jasmine's and Gayle's performance.

My first pick is quite clear: Jasmine Tye.

The other one quite hard to decide.

Gayle's performance was a let down.

Geraldine's got good stage presence but not a strong voice. And she started the "I will work on it" response which the others start to parrot.

Rahimah's got the voice but she's a mumbler and she somehow creeps me out. Maybe it was her emotional outbursts from previous episodes: "One wrong step, it's all gone! Boohoohoo!"

Siew Woon is okay...

Think I will go with Geraldine, although I believe people will vote for either Rahim or Gayle.

However the midi background music did kill the mood of the original song though, esp for don't speak. The cymbals didnt ring long enuff when rahimah reach the high notes IMO and sounded a little jazzy instead of rock. But yeah, bad articulation. I'm going for jasmine n gayle on this one.
