>>>quickly snapped up

thats true... *sigh*

anyone knows alternatives to waiting for musicplaza? can we order from SD direct?? as a group from here if demand is high enough

hey man! that´ll be great! i wonder if edder can help us with this...

it´s kinda sad to wait for Duncans for a quarter of a year only to find out they´re all sold out the moment one steps into the shop...

me? nahh.....

I´m already doing Bill Lawrence and Kent Armstrong. Both as good or even better than SD, some models lah...

anyway Yamaha is the AUTHORISED dealer for SD and I doubt SD will even bother to entertain me!

Cheers,

What´s up?

I juz check out BL and KA website...not much info especially for BL...

Edder could you recommend some pickups by them? I´m looking for something that has lots of mids in my neck and not too trebly sounding...Bridge I want something that is suitable for hard rock

Thanks

I´m wondering how much is SDuncans retail at Singapore. I bought my SH-2 Jazz (chrome cover) and SH-5 Custom (@ Bentley, KL) for RM 380 and RM 310 respectively. I know, i know, cut-throat prices...

Bill Lawrence pickups tends to have a very open sound, like removing a thick blanket from your speakers.... that you must know!

the L465 is closest to a standard PAF humbucker so for the neck it´ll work. There are a few flavors for each type.... so for your case I´ll go for the higher values for a thicker sound.

You can use the L465 as well for the bridge and at a value even bigger than the neck to balance it. Alternately a L500 is VERY nice. Nuno, Dimebag and a whole load of others can´t be wrong! Comes in many flavours as well. I´d personally go for the L500L not too hot not too cold.

Kent armstrong

Neck as Vintage model, for more open sound and pair it with a Hot Rod Vintage for the bridge. (That´ll be my choice!)

For louder and heavier stuff...

Neck, High Output Humbucker WPU11 seems to work well with Humbucker Distortion WPU10 bridge

Will be ordering from both of them really soon! So let me know if you want a set.

oh... and the waiting time for bill lawrence is ahem... 6-8 weeks. I´ve been waiting for my set for 10 weeks liaw.. and still counting!

Email me at ae2fx@yahoo.com

Cheers,

Dear friends
icon_cool.gif

the latest stock of Seymour Duncan pickups is here. saw some cool models: white Invader & a zebra ´59... they are going fast...

just a little update...

i just acquired the Duncan Hot Rails for my tele- Scorch Rails more like it...
icon_eek.gif
real hot!!

it´s easily one of my fav pickups now. it gives me a metal type growl after lowering it into the cavity. harmonics galore, warm + no mud bottom end & clear mids- what more can i ask for?

Umm any idea of a good pair OF SD tt can give a nice thick crunch in the bridge and a warm sound in neck (both HB) thanks

recommendations:

bridge- Distortion/ Custom/ Invader/ Dime for gain-inclined, crushing tone...

neck- Jazz/ ´59/ Seth for warm midrange, characteristic neck articulation...

speaking of which, i have a ´59 (N) to spare...

What´s up?

I suggest a set of Voodoo 59 Pickups

Heard a couple of sound clips...I can only say wow compared to the other pickups.

Ok...i know sound clips can be decieving but it sounded really impressive.
