seymour duncan pickup

16.8k is way high IMO... would be way too compressed and dark sounding. Like Dimarzio's Super 3, which clocks in at 22.5k, its just... no way man. Perhaps in a maple bodied guitar with maple fretboard, aye.

Anyway, for arguement's sake. I have installed a Dimarzio Humbucker from Hell with an X2N.

That's 5k-ish with 15k FYI. It can be balanced out. It just how many compromises you will be willing to make in order to get it balanced out volume wise.

actually, wat kinda tone/sound is Meerkat sourcing for?

all the above mentioned pickups are good according to the kinda tone(s) they offer.

i would prefer a Jazz, '59 (4-conductor, chrome shielded) or Alnico II Pro neck.

somewhat similar to what subversion has recommended, but its strictly personal.

mine is equipt with duncan distortion at the neck ...so far so good..
on the other hand i believe the screaming demon is a better choice..

Ahh.. Yea.. So I guess you know they;re different la..

Output can be guessed from the wind and resistance but there are ccertain things to be taken into account.

Like EMG preamps.

Anyways, doesnt matter in the Invader vs EMG..

The threadstarter hasnt returned also.. haha
