Security at baybeats

Not just Aussie. Singaporeans are tame compared to Malaysian moshpits.
 
If I remember correctly, Body surfing has been banned since gigs is organised at Nanyang Poly which located at tiong bahru or somewhere near... it must be like 8-9 over years ago. When our media start publishing article about youth becoming violent when attend gigs and listening to music.... Security in gigs is a must in Singapore due to the high cost of renting the venues and the cost for the organiser when any problems arise during the events. Do you know if a fight broke out, the organiser would get into a lot of troubles with uncle sam. ? so you can’t really blame them on that. Surely you want esplanade to give them the venues for next year gigs right.
 
I don't see how moshing has anything to do with enjoying the music. lol.

I think people who mosh are irritating. Thank goodness at baybeats I was in front and could hold the barricade.

But I have to agree that the security guards were really rough.

People always forget that you can enjoy the music without being an asshole and hurting others around you. Hey, we are all here to have fun, can you stop acting like you're high on ecstasy? You look like an idiot.
 
haha. nice bird love the eyes. anyway security is really way too tight. moshing is form of expression like dancing and the singaporean mosh crowd is generally sensible. they help ppl up and make sure that no one get hurts. its just MINORITIES that get violent. the security in this year baybeats was way too damn uptight. they were like bent on keeping the crowd docile and that really spoiled the mood.

i didn't really get to see any skinheads... but from the looks of it, like a crazy lot... anyway, should allow body surfing in the moshing area...

so anyway, moshing during baybeats with the right people is alright i guess. got pissed off by some MATS during baybeats. what a bunch of wankas.

yeaaa. punks n skins are always violent by nature. guess the security is there to prevent any shiiiiiits frm happening? some kids just aint too happy when being kicked at or watsoever.
