Scratching the Pickups

Hi, Im quite a newbie here and have some problems to seek advice on.

I bought my first guitar a Ibanez PGM3 Korea and i find that the strings are too far from the fretboard especially at 12 frets onwards. Hence i lowered the bridge. The strings are now at a ok height but when i do picking, sometimes i will scratch the pickups.

Will this be bad for the pickups and/or is there anyway to resolve the high strings problems?

just lower your pickups if the strings are touching the pickups. if it's your pick, there's no problem.

Remember that the pickups all have to be at different heights.

Correct me if I am wrong.

lower all the pickups by the same height then.
