saving combis on korg X50 without writing over existing combis

since1982

hi! i'll like to ask apart from writing over combi 127 (which seems to be the only blank template in the synthesizer) is there anywhere else i can save new combis without writing over pre-existing data?

dont tink its possible.there is only one free slot.

the X50 is basically the TR and triton le without sequencer.

however with the triton le and TR u can basically "save combis" in sequencer mode, in fact with 16 midi channels instead of 8.

morover the no. of "combis" u have simply depends on your memory card size.

this is reail reali great for gigs.

if u have the extreme, it has alot more free user slots for prog(128?) and combis( 128 too?) in their own modes respectively, without even the need to use the sequencer.

This is the only solution, I think. You can copy your desirable Combi to the Multi mode. I always do that to custom and save my combination. There are lotsa empty slotS in the Multi mode anyway =]

Thanks for the advice! I can't find the multi mode.. there is a global mode but no multi mode.. but i guess i'll try the manual..
