Wayne: you obviously havent heard the difference between the old and new versions of the gt2. if it was possible to mod it to give it a somewhat warmer sound for the new version, it would be great.

hahha! aiyah Wayne small boy, still got a lot to learn . we were supposed to compare the old version vs new version at Guitar Connection just the other day. apparently, I forgot to bring mine :lol:

anyway Sam, are you using the new or old version of the GT-2?

If you wanted to mod back to the old version, there're links on the Guitar Sticky about GT2. One of it links to a "build your own GT2" which apparently has comments on the differences between the old and new GT2.

Other than that, if you want specific tech stuff, go to diystompboxes.com and search the forums there.

The new GT2 sounds a little more sterile and modern to me. YMMV.

Thor: yeah, i kinda agree with you on that point. i wouldn't say modern sounding, its just very sterile. sounds "almost" digital. thanks for the heads up about the link on the guitar sticky, will go check it out.

Have a good time modding the GT2... its a nice pedal, especially the older model.
