hey guys, sorry for digging this up, but im entering ns soon kinda curious how do i join the saf band.

any idea how excalty you guys get into the audition? is that any steps? what excalty is the audition about? I do know alittle of the piano and alittle of drums (just simple rudiments, singles, triples and so on . . ) and i guess intermediate guitar level and alittle of soprano sax and oboe. Are there any cases where people who have only little music background but still get in the saf band? Do we get to choose the instrument we wish to play? Is it possible to choose a instrument that you are totally unfamilar with?

I am currently pes c9l9, do this pes status affect the chances of getting in the saf band? Do they accept pes c or e pp? I dont know, i have yet to enlist, im excuse for lower limbs firearms, i heard there is no outfield or chiong sua for me

Hi, i dun think they'd allow u to choose an instrument that ur totally unfamiliar with. i was from MDC tho.

there used to be this guy in my platoon excused firearms. then our sergeant juz disassemble a rifle and told the guy to clean it up,

guy: "sorry sergeant im excused firearms"
sergeant: "what firearms? asking u to clean up bits and pieces of metal now"

hi. im in NS but sadly..in ultra siong unit. you need to join the MDS. You can go to their site or something. and go for auditions. OR during BMT they will ask if you have musical skills etc. just sound off to your Platoon Commander and he will set you up.

Hi guys. Just some information, SSG Maswan from band a is now in central band. While CPT Yusri is Band C DOM... Percussion most xiong in band cos got COD to go to all the time...
