Sabian Confusion

I stumbled upon a few threads on the buy sell section that where people are selling Sabian PRO... Not B8 pro. but PRO chinas.

If they aren't B8 pro, they can only be one other series. Thats the Pro Sonix series. but that has been discontinued for awhile now. So which series is this cymbal really from???
B8 pro's Old labeling or Pro Sonix? One thread even claims that is a HH series model.
Hence Really Really Really confusing... Anyone with an answer?

This issue has been bugging me for the past few nights and I would really like to find out the truth to this whole confusion (at least to me).

Thanks.

these were the threads i was refering to:

Pro Sonix are an extension of the Pro line. Totally different from the B8-Pro line. The Pro line is a step above the B8-Pro line.

B8 alloy.

One of the better sheet cymbal line so far.

The thread labeling it HH is bullshit.

it's just the Pro series. not pro sonix or b8 pro. i have a sabian pro 16" studio crash, though i haven't heard this line around much, but it sounds great.

well if its pro sonix. i rmb hearing the crashes, rides and hats. they sound pretty sweet. but that was close to 5 years ago. i heard that sabian discontinued pro sonix since early 06.

if those cymbals are really pro sonix.... they might be the last few survivors left...

From my understanding and read-ups of Sabian cymbals:

(Past models before the AAX and HHX series was introduced)

B8 -- B8pro -- Pro -- Pro Sonix -- AA -- Hand Hammered -- Signature Series.

Sabian has introduced and discontinued several models particularly the PRO and PRO Sonix after the introduction of XS20 series. However, U can still order the discontinued models through the authorised dealer.

PS: There is no such thing as a Hand Hammered Pro series cymbals..

Hmm.. Found some information in this thread:

Sabian do not promote Pro as a brand worldwide. We in the UK were huge fans of Pro as they were a good range of cymbals at a good price point and reluctantly stopped selling them about a year ago. However due to popular demand we are re-launching them at our trade show which is this weekend in Birmingham along with the NEW revamped XS20 range. Sabian have always been strong in the sheet cymbal market and hopefully this will strengthen that position.
Hope this info helps.
Cheers
