Roland JV and SRX cards

according to the manual, the cards sound depends on the module engine.

Obviously.., the SRX are better than JV's
I used both..on a XP 60 and now on Fantom X6....I find the sounds much more better and crisp on the Fantom X than the XP where I used JV's
Not to mention that, I had a XV5050 ..which is with bongman now....
The sound of SRX is much better on Fantom than XV....
Fantom has balanced outputs..may be that's a reason..????

Hi guys, just wanted to relate an incident w regards to srx cards...(no names mentioned for now)
Just recently someone offered to sell the SRX7-ultimate keys to me. WE agreed at $200 and he offered the option of meeting on a saturday or sunday.
I said i'd try Saturday but since he could only meet late night so finally we agreed that sunday anytime would be best.
On sunday, I waited for 45 minutes at city hall but fellow didnt show up.So I asked him to reschedule. The sad part was not that he did not show up but that he insisted I should be reasonable and pay $50 more($250) which he felt was fair-claiming he just got an updated offer. He even told me to 'GO FLY A KITE'.
Strangely, he said he paid $420 for it new then later he said he got it used etc.. I wasn't gonna entertain all this - no more trust in his integrity. A verbal contract was made and not honoured. So I politely declined.
Point is, DO make sure that the seller has made up his mind on the price. I guess incidents like this are rare. But it is disappointing when people want to try to hold you ransom for even $50 bucks.

you buy cheap and sell away to make a profit?
funny as musician you shld be making music out of the instrument,
not trading?
for you info, I sold the card to someone who is willing to drop by my place
at a little bit more than your price.
the reason I back off is you tried too hard to play the waiting game;
you agreed to drop my office - you didn't, not sincere. then you said
to meet later in the evening but didn't even sms or call.
And in the first place you had even asked me to go to your area at the eastend of Singapore thinking I'm desperate to sell ?

I backed off becos of your big attitude - on the phone, sms msg, and last your lack of sincerity.
Mind you, you can talk about integrity?
what integrity you have when you are trying to undercut me?
I sold the 2 items at the expected price.
the person who bought the Roland module didn't even bargain,
he came right in the evening after we agreed on the phone - verbal contract !
if not becos I sold the Roland module I could have kept the 2 items.
the card buyer came right after we agreed on the phone and he came
within 2 hours to my area - how sincere.
besides, he shared knowledge and I agreed to help him out if he needs help in PC MIDI and sampling stuff for his Fantom XR. this guy a true blue musician !

I got better things to do than play some 'waiting game' as some describe. After the bullying, I declined to deal with such a person even though he tried to plead to me in 3 smses that I will still save so much even at his new price. I am happy to buy new from overseas.
He can twist and change the story all he wants but I just wanted to share this so that others won't be held ransom.
I'v made friends here and in my trades and I'm confident this will continue despite one or 2 bad experiences.

try running the srx07 in Fantom, should be better.
since music is just a pastime, no reason to buy new stuff.
I not here to trade for profit.
JazFis, the reason I quoted $250 is I need the cash in order buy a srx02 card which is a swap to me. not to earn the bloody $50. finally today I bought the srx02 card at the price I sold off the srx07 from a high profile kick-ass arranger/musician. He offered a better price but I paid him the price I sold off the srx07, all I wanted is to have another srx card w/o forking out more cash.
since music is just a pastime, no reason to buy new stuff.
I not here to trade for profit.

1. SRX 09 (World) from JV asia, world, latin and some from sfx ????
2. SRX 08 (Complete Orchestra) really worth but most of the tones from JV orchestral 1 &2
3. SRX 05 (Dance Extreme) which sounds newer than that Ultimate Keys or Platinum Trax..
4. SRX 01 Dynamic Drums for those who want choice of drum sounds....
All of them sound kick ass on Fantom X6 than the XV I had earlier...
