Some news release...

We've been asked to administer a recording deal for the most deserving, unsigned Singapore band. We've not decided as to how the best will emerge as there is no perfect, flaw proof way to go about doing it.

I've also mentioned at thread "Songwriters Community" about setting aside my budget for best song. This is a seperate thing altogether.

There is also a Top Drummer competition to be managed by Singapore Drummers' Circle namely Ahpek, Alfe & Co. Ezi Music has donated a drum set complete with cymbles for the junior category and SDC will source for another set for the open category.


So.... for the items written above, bands can start preparing your demos with lyrics, or lyrics alone for songwriters and drummers practice hard.

Auditions starts in March. Selection is based on suitability and compatibality to the event and the audition committee's decision is final. Nominated bands who have not given your contacts please do so asap to heartrock.bands@yahoo.com "FESTIVAL BANDS".


COMPETITION

Those interested to particpate in a competition for the best FIVE local bands to be included in a compilation CD please perpare demos of two of your best original songs. We will inform you of the place and time for submission at a later date. Bands particpating must not be contracted to any record labels nor any band competitions that disallows public performances and competitions during the contracted period. Declaration of truth is needed and this is legal binding.

the thread has become strangely silent once heartrock called for SOFTies to step forward??

Or is it just me?
 
The website will be come out towards the end of the month, and tickets will start selling around then.

Road show also will start around then. Keep a watch out for road show dates.

Not gonna happen man. Lack of funds and also time commitments due to work. But no worries, in gods will there would be one.

Poster a bit ugly leh.... Where's the lineup? I bet its not confirmed yet, but still selling tickets... Sounds like an endorsed ripoff....
 
I agree with Phoenix that the poster is ugly. The better one is not released yet. You are right again in your bet that it's not confirmed cos we are taking a few bands out. Ripped off??..caveat emptor!!
