I'm Catholic, and I listen to rock music. I don't find it offensive or satanic in any way. Listen to Zep or GnR. Worship the devil my foot. Lol. Anyway most of the examples the writer gave is on metal, wrong to say rock. Rock rules \m/

anyways, rock music does inculcate a sense of rebellion that much i can say from personal experience, but it ain't so much the sound of it, rather its the lyrics right? listening to christian rock hasn't done the same thing to me...dunno...waddaya guys think?

I'm a Christiani myself, but I'm in a rock band. I think that it's all a ploy to instill fear into people. It's no different from emotional blackmail isn't it? It's no different from City Harvest Church gently....asking....their congregation to buy Pastor Sun...ops she's no longer a pastor. She denounced it when she became a taiwanese superstar....I mean, Sun their ex pastor...yeah, asking them to buy her cd, if not they will be REMINDED to do so.

It's no different from President Bush trying to convince the nation that the Iraqis had nuclear weapons and if they don't, well it's for the good of the people anyway!

People in power have always used fear to make others obey and listen to their words. In the end, God will see through the hearts and true intents of someone and will decide who goes to Hell and Heaven, if there is one. Just because one sings about hell, doesn't make him worse than a priest who molests the altar boys. In fact, the person who preaches about hell is more honest in his intent than a child molestor. True fu*kers are well disguised.
