k, i got myself Ritter's top of the range gigbag, the RG9000.
straight to the point here, the gig bag is NOT friendly to nitro finishes.
inside the bag at the bottom, is their end-pin protector or whatever they call it.
its a rubbery feeling piece of whatever thats about 5" wide, which is suppose to provide extra padding at that area.
that part eats into gibson finishes.
i could probably take it out after figuring out how its stitched in, since its stitched as part of the bag.
my newly refinished in nitro SG-90 had some paint thats 'smoked out' at that end-pin area.
my SG '61 RI was previously in it, and it has some traces tho not as bad as the SG-90.
guess since the SG-90 has a fresh finish it reacts more.
anyway, nothing that some wet sandpaper and buffing cant cure.
and since its nitro, i can just make it dissapear with abit of touchup if needed.
so yea, to those who are intending to get that gig bag to use with guitars w/ nitro finishes.
forget it.
