Ripped off or not?

MY band got a gig (somewhere in the east). However, the thing is that we gonna sell tics for it. Every member are required to sell 10 tickets @ $10.. which is like a member had to pay $100 bucks just to perform .. how do you guys think?

If you didn't like that arrangement, why did you agree to perform in the first place? If you were hoodwinked, then you have every right to be unhappy and pissed.

i went for paid gigs before so "paying" for gig is kinda hard for me to accept. (I dont mind free gigs)

Not really, 100 dollars is a lot of money. Tell the band how you feel, if they cannot accept your choice then they're the ones who are bastard-ing you.

Yea, i agree with DeathcubeK.
Its a lot of $$. The organisers are obviously like ripping u guys off.
Talk to ur band. Have a good discussion. I'm sure they'll understand.

Usually its 10tickets per band but are you really222 sure your bandmates are not cheating on you since you joined them recently? hahaha

Free market economy: if you don't like it, don't agree to it in the first place.

Have a polite open discussion with your fellow bandmates, and if things don't turn out well, do what Stone Cold Steve Austin did when he's pissed and walk right out of your band. There's never ending of bands here in Musicians wanted section.
