But it's ok to discriminate against people because of their sexual orientation right?

Since when is it fair to discriminate against anyone at all? Humans are supposed to be a social species, not one that fights all the time because of different beliefs, different sexual orientation or whatever shit.

Sure, people can insist that being gay is a choice. People aren't born with it. And sure, it freaks the shit out of people (me included. I've had bad experiences with one, but he's also a mental case so gotta factor that in, too.) But they are humans just like the rest of us.

As long as they are thinking straight, and don't bother you, why should you be discriminating against them?

If they bother you, then yes, by all means tell the dude to freak off. But if a gay couple happens to walk by, leaving you alone and not being a nuisance, are you going to be uncivilized and discriminate them anyway?

'Do to others as you want them to do to you'. I think that's a very good way to think. They bother you, you bother them. They leave you alone, you jolly well leave them alone, too. Otherwise, you're being a bully.

Getting worked up? Haha, awesome change of direction! I was having a rather interesting discussion with predz(it started a little nasty sure) but I'm sure I was the one getting worked up by being the one asking the question "But it's ok to discriminate against people because of their sexual orientation right?". Oh wait, that wasn't me!

Let me just state some points, I hope I didn't hurt any rainbow flag waving posters on soft.

1. I really would rather be dead than gay, because I can't imagine sticking it in another man's butt

2. "Homophobia - strong and unreasonable dislike of homosexual people, especially homosexual men." Strong and unreasonable dislike. Hmm. Firstly, I don't dislike the people, just the behaviour. Unreasonable, no, because I have a set of beliefs and morals. "especially homosexual men" - only if they try to grab my ass.

3. 2000 year old intolerant religious book - apparently billions of people around the world don't think so.

4. If I found out my close friend was gay, I would probably freak out, because we've practiced jujitsu together and stuff.

To end it off,

lol I can't imagine being tied up in leather to be stomped on by a lady in high heels either, but dead? you know the way you don't like the other man's rear end is the same way a homosexual doesn't like whats between the legs of a lady

If you dislike the behaviour your actually disliking them. "the behaviour" makes it sound like they do this on purpose as a rebellious act or something. They are gay, the same way you are straight. And only because you believe something, doesn't make it reasonable

3. 2000 year old intolerant religious book - apparently billions of people around the world don't think so.
yeah it doesn't matter how many people believe it, doesn't make it right. You have been taught its bad, by a people who lived 2000 years ago in a completely different society. What makes you think its right in the 21st century.

4. If I found out my close friend was gay, I would probably freak out, because we've practiced jujitsu together and stuff.

If I practiced Jiu Jitsu with a female friend, doesn't mean I wanted to come on to her. Only because they're gay, doesn't mean they want to have sex with every same gendered person they see, they have standards too

ITT: christian telling people what makes sense and what doesn't, because the bible makes a whole lot of sense(a merciful all-loving god that will send you to hell for eternity because you stole a pack of gummy bears).

To me, front door or back door is basically the same, both are doors. If u have not try it,just try it,who knows u might end up liking the back door more than the front door.

Evidently you've never read the Bible.

Different strokes make up the world.

I think we all should instead revel& be thankful for our similarities rather than squabble over our differences unless it's one of healthy debate.

We're all here ( at least most of us sans the spammers ) due to our interest in music so let's not lose that. It's good to have debates every now& then for it keeps us ticking but at the end of the day, we should all just repsect our individual views/policies/leanings even if they may seem absurd - subjective - & that itself is the whole point... subjective.

PS Different Strokes wasn't a sexual pun
