Alexander Kuoppala (Children of bodom)
the guy who was with steve vai during the g3 concert(any1 knows his name)
Mårten Hagström(meshuggah)
James Hetfield(metallica)

care to share ur fav???????

the gusy with steve vai was tony macalpine...right??....if i'm not wrong lah...

another good rythm guitarist is the one that played for GNR....most of the nice GNR songs were written by him....

Dave weiners under steve vai's wing.

Yeah Izzy is a god..withotut Izzy , GNR would sound like :smt019

Marcus Siepen , rhythm guitarist of Blind Guardian.

Just watch their Imaginations Through The Looking Glass DVD. Marcus is an unrelenting monster.

Dave Mustaine, Megadeth

Even though he plays some leads here and there... his riffing is tremendous and very very headbangable too! Plus, he wrote a hell lot of catchy riffs.

his name is james root.. i dunno how his name have evolved from james to jim.. but.. oh well.. it's still refering to the same person.. juz like he is known as #4 in slipknot..

"He is more oftenly called Jim" - souce from www.black-goat.com

not that bad la...

but true to a certain extent that use ur illusion and gnr lies were not as good as appetite for destruction...

Izzy Stradlin' is my favorite rhythm man...A Keith Richards clone in some sense... Great partnership with Slash...

Appetite For Destruction is an "in-your-face" album. Not just the songs are great but the sounds itself were something different. It's either you like it or hate it. Anyone who likes "Rocket Queen"? Izzy played some really cool stuff in it.
I think GN'R Lies and Use Your Illusions are good as well. They kinda showcase what they can do more musically Illusions. For those who don't know about this,Don't Cry,November Rain,You Could Be Mine,Back Off Bitch were all written during Appetite days...

oh yeah i forgot ex Sepultura's Max Cavalera during the early days......and Jesper Stromblad of In Flames who won a songwriter(dunno which catogary) of the year award....

one of the most outstanding tracks is paradise city...use the left channel and listen to izzy. Slash has this very low growl guitar so u gotta be able to know which is izzys guitar and which is slashs.

Everyone forgot Dave Kushner? Hes a god!

Slash is on the right and centre channels...sometimes on the left. His sounds are thicker and a wee bit muddy at times... Izzy's sounds have less bass and gain compared to Slash's.

Dave Kushner's great too. His use of effects "here and there" helps to keep the band "fresh"...

personally, i don't believe that there's a 'rhyhtm guitarist' per se, chances are, these individuals can solo, but they choose not to.

my fav 'rhythm player' has always been SAMOTH (ex-emperor/ zyklon)

Hmm

Hi all,

I would go with James Hetsfield of Metallica. Tho a rhythm player, but he never fails to pump up the vibes during most of their live shows. Most of the rhythm guitarists are mainly skilled, but monotone in their showsmanship (as in u dun realli c them interacting much w da crowd or pumping vibes into the music). Pardon me if I may offend any people :) Have a gre8 day.

Regards...

Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen.

If you removed all their solos from their songs, some of the stuff going on in the rhythm department is really happening.
