I IronBalls New member Jan 25, 2009 #1 I recently got an epi les paul custom, and i realised that the parts that were gold-plated like the bridge and pick-ups had some pretty obvious tarnishes. Anyone got recommendations on how to remove them without damaging the hardware?

RyanZ New member Jan 25, 2009 #2 There is no way to regain the gold plating. Once tarnished, the only way is to replace the hardware.
relinquish69 New member Jan 25, 2009 #3 sad to say its impossible for gold/black. you cant even use brasso on it cos the gold would just turn to chrome.

VidaK New member Jan 26, 2009 #4 electro-plating your hardware with gold is very expensive and impractical. when it looks too ugly to you, its probably time to de-plate your hardware into its original colour...
