regarding felt timpani mallets. (urgent!)

hi. i'm sorry, i don't know much about mallets, but i'm have an enquiry. if the "cotton wool" thing or "head" (?) of the mallet comes off, is it possible to just buy the "cotton wool" alone to replace it or i'll hafta buy the entire set?

it IS possible, but its brand dependent. as far as i know brands like black swamp percussion and grover, which are available in singapore do have replaceable mallet heads. however this also depends on the series. you can try checking with band world or accent.

i would advise you get a new set of mallets though. would be cheaper, weight matched yadayadayada. I 91283981238123% recommend black swamp. large range, their bamboo shaft range is damn sweet super shiok when you roll during crescendos hahahaha
