Here's Tom Petty's Mary Jane's last dance. So you can hear the whole song. Most of the song sounds quite different actually. It's just the verse that resemble each other when sped up to the same speeds. Tom Petty's chorus is amazing, and I feel is what made that whole song a hit. Dani Cali runs more on the strong funky verse. I don't really like the chorus.

I personally feel that sometimes some songs get stuck in your subconcious. Then when you write a song, sometimes it creeps out and you don't realise it. Until you hear it again and go OOOOooooh shit.
