would like to ask you guys about your views regarding using a line6 pod studio or a presonus firebox in recording the electric guitar which would be better in your view and why

one a firewire interface and the other is usb interface, not really fair comparison.

Another thing, firebox come with cubase le and couple of drum samples, vst plugin while line 6 has more software with geetarers in mind.

If just wanna do geetaring mainly, then go with line 6. The software support side is stronger

anyway, imho, nothing is better. Both still do the same thing.

Both are good. In my opinion, you can get better sound from the firebox because it has better preamp on it as compared to the pod studio. But the downside is, it doesn't comes with software tailored specially guitar like guitar rig or amplitude, so you will have to source for it some other ways. Other than that, it all depends on how good you are in making your stuff sounds good.
