Hi everyone, Ska here. Well currently I'm using the Toneport UX2 which allows me to record 2 channel simultaneously for my acoustic set which currently consist of 1 guitar and 1 vocal( 2 mics>ux2>ableton). I need more channel as I require 6 channel for percussion, mics, guitars making it possible to record 6 channel on seperate track at once...how do i go about in doing so on say a budget of $200 for the interface. I seen those used mixer like Yamaha mg10/2, can this be used to achieve my desired outcome? Hope Bros/Sis out there can help me out. Thanks in advance...

"6 channel on seperate track at once"

you need a multitrack audio interface like line6 ux8 , presonus fp10 etc and $200 wouldn't be enough as those interfaces are around between $400 (2nd hand) - $800. get your band to pool in together, like $100 - 200 per person.

Cool blueprintstudios, thanks for the speedy reply. Icic so in this case i shall be looking forward for the ux8 then.

skafaisal, why not record track-by-track? instead of recording everything at 1 go?
