Hey all,

I'm thinking of getting my first guitar, maybe a yamaha F310? Perhaps you all can suggest other decent models at a good price. I'm also not sure if i should get a classical or acoustic one. As for guitar shops, I've heard much about peninsular plaza, but i'm wondering if bargains are allowed there since my budget is around $200.

Thanks! :D

i recommend u to raise ur budget a little bit. Maybe getting the takamine guitar pack from davis abt $235 i think...

one more, try lando guitars from guitar77. Pricing from $189.00 onwards.

Only get Yamaha if your budget is above $500... Those of that price range and above are excellent. But their low-ends aren't worth the dough.

Davis Guitar also has some Finas, Samicks and Greg Bennetts, you might want to give them a try. Some Takamines are also below $200.

YES I AGREE. Get a yamaha if you are ready to regret when you know more about guitar. You can also go to citymusic. The people there are damn friendly haha.

lol. dun get the low end yamaha. its useless. yea. i agree with everyone go to davis that area and look around, samick is a good brand. my first guitar was a samick. :-D

SGD200?

Maybe you convert to msia RM and buy at jb like what I did. Can get i higher end yamaha there if I'm not wrong.

Ranking sports at Bras Basah Complex do have guitars within your price range if i'm not wrong. :)

Buy in jb got good and bad.. i used to went jb to look for things.. even though their things in cheaper some of them are quite dishonest since they know u r singaporean and that most likely you will not go back to find them.. its doesnt mean all of them are dishonest, but generally a few black sheeps can make the whole crowd look bad.. they like to offload second hand things if u r not careful and they sometimes lie about their warranty and say they dont remember you there and since there is no receipt issued you cant do anything either..

FYI- it's also available in black (they have a good piece in stock but if i bought that, it's another black guitar for me...)
