the hartke b series is not sold in singapore right? i check citymusic.com.sg but they only displayed "a" series on their website...i as looking forward to hartke a25 but i think its over 300 sia..shit..i really need a reliable bass amp cause when i use my bass attack and bass chorus on my previous johnson amp it couldnt take it...there is buzz when i tweak some knobs a little high. but during jamming sessions when i use better amps it doesnt buzz..need help

amp

well hopefully we see some IbanezSW35s in the buy\sell forums. Got mine second hand, definitely fits your budget and sounds awesome. =)

of the first 3 amps that sub posted i would go for the peavey... but within that budget i think an ibanez SW or a hartke A series should bring you a long way :)

the soundwave amps really good bang for the buck, i'm a former sw65 user

well you could just go to sweelee, test some amps that cost between 300 - 500, get a feel of them all, decide on which amp produces the sound that u like..

after that be a little patient and wait for a 50% sale and go get it..

first of all you will be staying within your budget and getting something twice the price and you get the sound that you like..

I use a Laney HCM 30 and it's pretty okay. Nothing to shout about though. I would recommend a Peavey Microbass as I really do like what I hear!

The Ibanez SW35 I tried at Swee Lee seems pretty good for the price also. You might not need a 35w as most gigs in Singapore have amps provided! And if none are provided, 35w is hardly enough..

A small, portable amp is more than enough for normal home use.

OO my budget is around there too, if thinking of getting a 1st hand 10watts, shud top a little more for a 2nd hand better quality and more watts bass amp?

get a Hartke A25 at city music for 185 bucks! i went there and asked the lady, and she said it costs 185!
