recommendations for guitar servicing?

If you want a good yet affordable setup, find Beez.

If you're more particular about your guitar (action, neck relief etc), find Malcolm.

any electronics stuff, find Beez. if you want to get your guitar sey up properly, strobed, intonated, refretted or anything, find Malcolm. GC does abit of servicing, not sure about the prices, but some people said the services were quite good.

I find malcom's prices reasonable. Not only does he do a tremendous job, he takes a lot of pride in his work. You see it in the man's eyes I tell you when he is working on your guitar.

But hehehe... Malcom would prefer to leave the electronics to others. :P

My best experience of quality electronics servicing, is Joe @ Davis.

yep, if you want to do a setup definitely go for malcom. his prices are worth it for the quality and skills he has. you'll really feel the difference in your guitar. and if u decide to stay while he sets up your guitar, he'll even explain everything to ya. i learned a lot more about my guitar when he set it up. no regrets at all.

yup, i'll be looking for him soon too.... need his expert skills on another guitar.... :D

but since u only wanna check ur electronics maybe can juz go to davis or beez... (malcolm recommends davis too for electronics... :) )

i've had bad experience with davis. went there to change the pickup on my bass. it came back wired out of phase with the other pickup. the pickup was also set above the level of the neck which i really really really too high. even a non music player who was with me told me it looked like a fcked up job.

never went back there anymore. i go to beez now. nice guy and he solders well.
