Recommendation on amp

Personally am for the marshall. Marshall provides ultra clean for me which is good as i use couple of pedals myself.

im going hong kong. but i am a non cantonese speaker.

most probably i wont have time there. preparing for uni. must chiong very hard for exam.

i most probably wont have to time there to check out all these stuff. the course there is freaking tight.

anyway, another softie offered me a ibanez TB15, not too sure about the amp.

comparism,

roland cube 15
marshall MG15CDR(non tube)
TB15

haha, thanks for ur concern. i dont mind spending a bit more here, because everyhing is so familiar to me. singapore is singapore. haha

anyway

roland cube 15
marshall MG15CDR(non tube)
TB15

???

Tom Lee Music Centre in HKG has a whole floor dedicated to guitars
I think you should by the stuff there
got local warranty there
plus no need to bring heavy amp over

Yeah, i know tom lee.

but the price...

line 6 spider III 30 = HKD 3600 = SGD 500

Maybe give discount 20 percent, still a 400 buck wor...

here i get a second hand cube 15, about 100 bucks only.

yeah, vox is good, but i still need to get pedals.. and there isnt many vox on sale second hand, so might need to buy new. which cost the cheapest about 160.

if anyone see any softie or sporean selling vox, tell me! thanks~!

hope it's not too late/ irrelevant, but maybe you should consider the Sound Drive amp..?

Doesn't the MGCDR have an FDD button that supossedly simulates the tube sound? Is that really true?

(First post..)

the FDD emulates speaker dampening of bigger amps, not tube voicing...

Sound Drive SG612R=$550

if you wish for a good drive response, but prefer a solid state make, it's the one to get. it'll give many tube equipped amps a run for the money when it comes to drive warmth & note definition. worth the investment, definitely 8)
