Recommend some bass songs

if ur up for it, EWF(earth, wind & fire)..the bassist does not play fast lines..but groovy lines that sync with not just the drummer, but the whole band..

try some of the slow mr. big songs? to be with you and wild world are fun to play plus you get to learn a lot of cool fill ins :)

try riyuu, cage by dir en grey. or new world, blurry eyes by l'arc~en~ciel. or toumei nakago by vidoll. or rose of pain, weekend by x japan. they got some solid basslines.

haha i remember learning cage when my j-rock friends kept saying it was the hardest j-rock bass ever. it was pretty easy, but i still struggle with tetsu's madness all over l'arc~en~ciel x_x

Depends on the type of songs you appreciate.

I personally subscribe to a plethora of different genres just for the fun of it.

Slapping:
Level 42
Any Les Claypool stuff

Simple, solid basslines:
U2
Sixpence None the Richer
The Darkness
Deep Purple
Iron Maiden

Melodic basslines:
L'Arc~en~Ciel
Suede
Pino Palladino
Bad Company

Groovy basslines:
Incubus
Doobie Brothers
Earth, Wind and Fire
Tower of Power
Average White Band

List isn't exhaustive, but this is some of the music I listen to for inspiration.

still fighting for a future - The virus

Bombtrack - RATM

people of the sun - RATM

Fight for your life - The casualties

Blitzkreig bop - the ramones <--basic but fun = )

Bro hymn - Pennywise <--easy also

Anything from L'Arc~En~Ciel ( hope i spelt that right )

Try learning some simple guitar solos , like Six Pence None The Richer's Dont Think It's Over.

That's all I can think of right now.
