Why isn't there any talks and reviews on acoustics? Anyway... I am looking out for one... any idea where and what to begin with...

Anyone tried the taylor baby and big baby? What about yamaha FG series in particular FG 700s?

300 bucks can get baby taylor meh? I was quite impressed with those Harvest acoustic guitars that Luther sells... compared it with a bunch of other branded but similar priced acoustics. hmmmm....

Eh... I dunno... but friend recommend me leh...

I think baby taylor 400 bucks bah...

Now considering Yamaha 700s, Ibanez AW40 and baby taylor... may stretch budget... depending... also thinking about big baby taylor...

must go scout around liao... so any tips or suggestion?

Tried a baby taylor. not bad i must say, and pretty affordable too.

In my humble opinion, based on your budget, try all guitars possible. sometimes overpriced guitars not necessarily suits your playing.

haha... 12 string... I am looking for 6 string thanks anyway...

Anyone tried the ibanez aw40 or yamaha FG700s b4? Pls put some input here... thanks once again...

I have a Baby Taylor - bought it about 5 years ago - it is very very convenient for travelling and it has a great zingy sound. I paid over $700 for that back then. Last time I asked in Luther they were selling for $450 - not sure how much room you have to negotiate on that. The neck is a quite pronounced V shape if you like that sort of thing and is reasonably comfortable. Tuners are very stable and it has very accurate intonation. The body is made from some kind of high pressure laminate - it is not solid wood, but good enough for the price. There is some unevenness on the upper body curve where it looks like the laminate was bent to curve before it was flexible enough, but that doesn't bother me too much. Overall, I love this guitar - great for social occasions.

I also have a Martin HD-28 bought at City last year.

Probably a bit out of your price range, but a stunning guitar with warm and full-bodied tone across all frequencies and tremendous sustain. :)

Thanks for the info vern... that is one sweet looking guitar...

I saw the luther website and the baby cost about $470... oh man...

abit out of budget... then I saw yamaha FG-700s about $345... am considering that...

Hmmm... once my exams are over will go to luther to look... and touch... hehe

Buy a Taylor guitar is you can afford one. The baby taylor is most affordable of the lot and handy too.

any other yamaha acoustic other than those L series (>$900) are really bad... only their classicals and electric are comendable...

u could try their acoustics... maybe 1 in 10 of the same model is outstanding...

for ur budget, i suggest Maestro guitars, sold at luthers... they're really good for their price...

dun go mad over yamaha or lbanez acoutics... they're only good ones are way way above ur budget as well as mine... baby taylor? unless u can get a big baby, dun bother...

I have a Seagull and I like it. You can get them from Rankin Sports. Think 400++ Go try one out... be sure to ask the pple to set it up for you if you get one.
