Randolf does some really mean mods to Boss pedals, so you can pick a boss pedal you fancy, then head over to Randolf's to get it done up.

Best thign abt Randolf, he's a musician with lots of experience, so his advice is usually very relavant and useful.

If you're a beginner in playing your kinda music, get your distortion from your amp lor... Then from there grow with the tone of the distortion, compare with the kind of stuff you dig... Then find the one that suits you lah!

Alternatively, if you want a versatile Overdrive/Distortion pedal, can try Jekyll and Hyde, or Boss OS-2.

uhm , whats the difference between DS-1 and OS-2 from BOSS ?? is it for different genre ??

OS-2 is a SD type in parallel with DS type ....

Bro, just go down Swee lee and test both pedals. There isn't a genre for each pedal, and words are pretty insufficient (useful, yes, sufficient, never) for what you want. DS1 and OS2 just sound different, also designed differently.
