Hii guys! i wanna noe which is d best pedal that cn give u the longest sustain somethin like gary moore or santana songs??

tks!

LP, Mockingbird, Iceman, whatever, as long as its a set neck/neck-thru with a heavy assed body wood like mahogany, it will sustain for a good 10 seconds.

I can show you a bolt-on basswood guitar with floating bridge which can sustain just as long...

i'm not sure what kinda technique / FX that gary moore used to get that kinda sustain especially in the solo part of parisienne walkways.

anyway, steve vai uses fernandes sustainer in his "flo" guitar. a memorable one would be on "whispering a prayer". f#$%king awesome! u can check this link for details on this great system (make sure u watch the videos. thumbs up!):

some of the fernandes guitars equipped with this. i have that kinda guitar for sale, but i'm in malaysia. few months back, there's one guy in our local forum selling 2 guitars with the sustainer for rm700 each iirc. that's way below the price of a brand new sustainer kit! not sure whether still available or not.

my advice, either u get the original sustainer kit (quite expensive) or a second hand fernandes guitar with sustainer which is a lot cheaper.

lmao, he ask for sustainer u guys talk about guitar woods and stuff. lots of options man, sustainer, sustainiac, ebow, pedals i dun know but maybe compressor+delay pedal mite work.

hehe, sustain is always an interesting subject, but along the way, there be many suggestion of extending the sustain by altering the characteristic of the instrument thru compression, ebow, sustaniac pickup, fuzz, delay etc

anyway, feedback also can have pitch one. If at certain angle/distance away from amp speaker, can get certain feedback with certain pitch, use it in part of a song when you are playing the guitar parts, stand round that area/spot, hit the note on your guitar with the same pitch as feedback, the note sustain will kinda fade off and with the feedback taking over at around the same pitch.

Matt bellamy from muse seem to use his fuzz factory in some songs kinda the same principle, exception its with fuzz oscillation within the fuzz factory(instead of feedback) and leading into the notes intro of songs etc.
