Recommend me a A/B switch

I will be getting my 2nd bass, and would like to have a facility to toggle between my 2 basses to my pedals.

I've seen the Boss A/B, but it runs on battery and thus not a passive switch. The EHX switchblade is passive but no mechanical indicator to indicate which input port is active.

Any recommendations regarding a good A/B switch, hopefully passive?

look over to tymc or seekz to customised one for you.

sometime even with passive a/b box, there will be battery in it as well. Its for the led to indicate which loop is active.

the boss one is pretty good. LS-2

it's not passive coz you can individually boost or cut volumes from each channel and mix them in, which i find pretty useful.

Hmm.

with regards to using the EHX switchblade, if you're just using two instruments... it's really a no brainer that when you swap instrument A for instrument B, you click on the device once and you'll know that instrument B is "live", no?

Why bother with an A/B box with LEDs that need to replace batteries / power via daisy chain, when you can use........... simple common sense?

come to think of it, yeah you are right. there shouldnt be any concern without having an indicator for A/B switching, but of course am hoping there's one with mechanical indicator.

will drop by ebenez/blackwood soon to take a look.

finally bought the radial engineering bigshot i/o @ sim lim square. am very pleased with it. the tuner output and mute foot switch is very important (to me). the ability to use the potentiometer to reduce the input level for one of the intrument is a bonus.

Alamak. Was thinking of asking you to get a Radial Tonebone Bassbone or an EBS Microbass II instead. They are great DI boxes (I suppose you play in church frequently from your signature and posts) with the A/B function to switch between basses. Why have an extra pedal when a DI box can do the job.

I am using the EBS Microbass II now. Has a mute function as well as tuner out too.

thanks for the suggestion. at the moment i dont foresee a need to get another DI as these are already provided in church.

thus i chose a full passive device, since power sockets are hard to come by these days - as we have 2 e guitarists and each have their pedal boards (and mine too). just the last sunday one of them have pedals with multiple voltages, thus occupying more than one socket.

also the bigshot i/o is definitely much cheaper than a bassbone.
