I am thinking of getting the 1977 Ibanez Les Paul PF300. Has anybody tried it b4 ?
The one hanging in Luther? I don't think its very much a good buy... but of course, thats from a trem user's perspective...
If you like the fixed bridge, you might want to go for it... some say the ibanez Les Paul copies were better than the original that time.
But if you do decide to get it... you have to realize you will be getting a relic. This baby's old and the hardware is all rusted up and stuff.
You would have to do some adjustments to the axe like maybe a good clean up, buffing out the scratches/dents, changing the hardware, refretting and so on...
On the other hand... its a relic and you might not want to do that.
So, its really up to you...
If I weren't a floyd rose addict, i'd get it and juice the baby up. Like change all the hardware to the modern stuff, add push pull switches and the like. After all, what use is a guitar if its going to be on display all the time?
Cheerio!
