recommend guitar for 500 price range

which guitar around 500 have the best sounding and such? my gf is still using tgm e.guitar, the strat one, im planning to get her a les copy? maybe epiphone? she like epiphone, any recommendation?

My recommendation wld be the Epiphone LP-100 or LP Special.

But might need to top up abit to buy the gig bag & stuffs if u get what I mean. If I'm not wrong, Swee Lee got this Epiphone starter kit, u might wanna check it out at Bras Basah.

For $500, you won't be able to get an epiphone LP (brand new), unless you want second hand.

But then... for the same amount of money you are going to fork out, why epiphone LP? Your GF strong enough to carry the LP yeah?

The LP-100/special have terrible resale values. Not really worth imo. Especially if you're into upgrades in the future as you progress. Save a bit more, get a standard that lists at 700 odd.

go search lutherads if you dont mind 2nd hand stuff. ...u can get goodstuff like ibanez rg 550 or even other brands if you prefer like cheap mexican or japanese fenders (rare) and of course epiphones. always good deals around.

You got $700-$800? don't even think about brand new gibson man. Can't even get brand new Tokai with that price.
