Recommend a good guitar cable

i used to have one. screwed up on me. my bro used the same one. screwed up on him recently. mad crackling. its the cable. isolated the problem.

You're lucky. PWs have a reputation for being the opposite of that. A friend of mine broke his.. twice. Crawldaddy had one which failed him as well.

I didn't know about that guys. Sorry to hear that. I guess I got lucky.

Klotz cables make so much difference live hahah , say a simple set up . Acoustic guitar > cable >DI box > PA and it sounds like a piece of heaven .

Helps when you're using wireless too , you need a good cable from your pedalboard to your amp

RUFIO i think honestly just get something that catches your eye in your budget range. Everyone has different experiences with different cables. Everyone has different preferences. We may not be right or wrong but its our personal feelings. My suggestion to you is just go and purchase one just for the experience. As time comes you may find the cable that really suits your personal kinda sound.

Actually I don't know what cable I'm using. All the markings on the cable has already faded. Maybe those no brand one. Been using it for 6 years and I decided to buy a new one. Maybe I just buy 1 Vox Class A and 1 Canare and try them out. But for canare, where can I buy those with color? I saw 1 at peninsula but it's black.

i'm using Proco Musicmover cables and Canare GS-6 cables with GH plugs. no regrets. this is after alot of trial and error with Monster cables, Planetwaves, Ibanez, Vox, George Ls etc. given/sold most of them away. i did some comparisons a long time ago with my various cables and the Canare and Proco came out tops for me personally. as such, i've swapped almost all my cables in the studio for canare cables.

sound is subjective. its entirely up to you at the end of the day.

So it's better to buy both canare rather than buying 1 canare and 1 vox right?

i'd rather spend the money on other gear that affects tone more

canare with G&L heads will do, nothing too fancy for me

how about those neutrik head? I decided to get canare. So now deciding which head coz some people say G&L and some is Neutrik. I just check my old cable and notice that the head is Neutrik. hehe

I'm guess you use pedals.

Either one is fine because quite frankly your tone have some slight losses in anyway. The more pedals you use, the more tone loss you suffer.

If you're using multiple pedals, are your patch cables gonna be switched to Canares as well? If you're still sticking to the same patch cables it's rather pointless to be too anal about your cables. A decent cable will do the job well enough.
