recommandations on strings

curt magnan at $5.50 a pack. Its cheap and has great tone.
So i tend to change my strings once every 2 weeks. That way, your strings always stay fresh. And full of tone.

Hmm.

Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies for me :)

Fat bottoms and wiggly tops for nice fat crunch on chords and easy bending on the tops.

But itching to try curt mangans since they're about... 1-2 bucks cheaper (than ernie balls)?

Hmm.

^^^ Stuck to those for about 3-4 mths, but they're fret-eaters!!!

Their stainless steel "Super Steel" ones are frickin bright though.

ooh ive been looking for strings too = ). so i can find this "curt mangan" strinig thingy at guitar77? how thick do you guys usually use?

Acoustic try their folk guitar strings. The one in a simple white and green pack. Some silver compound wound thing.. it's really great!

I use .11 for the hard rock feel and the great chugging soud, but .09 is easier to bend and sound nice for leads. so currently one guitar is using .9 and the other .11. May want to try .10 though...

thx for help guys. ive been experimenting with strings for some time now and havent found the right 1 yet. yeah. i think i should really check out these strings.

d'addario XL .095
if any other brand has .095, i'd gladly change to them

Curt Mangan has the .0095 set- have been using them for all my 24.75" scale guitars 8) PM me your address & i'll mail you a complementary set (if you are keen...)

okay i just bought the curt mangan stainless wound strings 9-42 = ) cant wait to try them out. im a little lazy to change them now though cause im tired and i cant find my pliers.

Testing rotosound 0.10, comes with and extra e string.
So far so good.

Used fender super-bullet as well, 09 before changing to rotosound and set up my guitar myself. Not bad, stays in tune well.

I find dean markley upper 3 strings too bright for my strat, while earnie ball losses tension in a week time.
