re: taylor 214ce-SB

Hi guys,
i was about to put up the cash for taylor 214ce-SB edition to b ordered in, the tabacco sunburst edition.
however, sinamex said that "edition" would affect sound quality.. is it really the case ?
And secondly if i ordered it in.. and i wanted to put on a taylor pickguard as it didnt come with one.. by applying one with sinamex it would eventually peel off the edges due to our country humidity and not recommended to install the pickguard if the factory did not install one in the first place.. as advised by sinamex.

kindly advise,
Many thanks!

For acoustics, I strongly suggest that you get a pc that you can try on as every acoustic guitar has a different feel. Even different pcs in the same model/series impart different feel. I personally will not risk ordering in an acoustic guitar for that reason.

For the pickguards, haven't face such issues yet, and if u are putting them on a gloss finish, they are easily reinstalled/removed anyway. The only difference would be over time, the area below the pickguard would be lighter than the rest of the soundboard due to exposure to light. You can look into getting a transparent pickguard :)

My 2 cents.

affect the sound? probably due to the fact that there is going to be another layer of paint on the top.

why the Taylor 200 series? Way overpriced guitar for the specs IMO.
