I'd add another guitar to the list Krist mentioned: Timbre SR200. Great guitar for the price. Especially praisewothy are the default pickups; they handle higher gain pedals well, with much less noise than some other strat copies. Solid workmanship, excellent playability, good tone. Check 'em out!

As for the LTD 50s, its amazing that they're great but supposedly the lowest end of the LTDs and ESPs for that matter... Says much about value for money!

not quite the lowest, the Series-10 models are bottom; these are the instruments in the LTD Starter Packs.

The M-10 actually looks quite nice... But I kinda like the 50 series because the finishes are really cool. Like the EX-50, sparkling jewel silver finish.

after playing both, in terms if playability, there's not much separating these 2 guitars, i especially like the M-10's non-whammy feature.
