re: query..

+1 to the RG321.

Fixed-bridge for easier re-stringing and better sustain. I'll custom-order mine through Standard Value one day since Swee Lee only has the 7-string model (RG7321) but if you find it, give it a shot.

man, pple in my camp are filled with awe when they see the amount of gear that is listed under their signatories..

im so like new to guitars.

i can't read notes, chords and all.

i can play 2 or 3 simple songs..

but i believe in myself.

honestly, your signing off comments is quite true..

'be happy with your gear'..

yeaH!

dont worry, from new to intermediate it'll be very fast. its from intermediate to pro that u'll find much harder.
go search for some websites, after a few weeks to a month u'll be able to read chords. and learn all the basics... yep.

re: Rock..

my friend and i are actually torn between four guitars..

im hoping i cld get your opinions on these guitars..

1) SX GG1K : I did read the review here from Subversion.
2) LTD F10
3) LTD Viper 10
4) LTD M50

Thank You.

i have nothing but praise for the series 50 LTD guitars- in addition to being well made, these are good sounding + affordable. there are both satin/ gloss finish versions for each offering (EX/ F/ EC/ M), do take time to try these out as the finish type might be a hit/ miss to the individual.

better to take a satin one cos if new to guitar will kena scratch if its glossy very easily haha. at least that was for me. in the end its up to the individual haha.

re: Subversion..

Subversion..

a question for u..

when u purchase an ESP LTD from Davis, what kind of guitar strap will we get?

the one tat bears the words, 'Electric Sound Product' or will they swap it with another one when no one's looking.

fill me in, will ya?

roger and out.

hmm... i've never bought an LTD, not sure if there's a strap in the package at all. i bought an ESP Eclipse- no strap.

honestly? I'd get lessons if I were you. I've played for 18 years now (self-taught), and I can't find a teacher to re-teach me. They all say: "you cna play wat... why you want me to teach you? Dun waste $$$ lah..."

I've got too many bad habits, and mistakes in my playing, I don't even know where to begin. It's much better to have someone show you the right way to start learning. I'm still piecing my fingerings together. It's no longer about playing the instrument for me, but more of making music. A teacher will be able to show you the correct rudimentary process for doing that. And at the end, you'll know exactly what you're doing when you do it. How you apply it is up to you. I don't know what I'm doing, although I can do a lot. I can apply, but I have no clue what I'm applying, or why I shouldn't do something else. I regret not taking lessons earlier.

I agree whole heartedly with this. Also, your guitar teacher can be one of the most inspiring person to jam with, and nothing beats knowing that under the guidance of a good friend and teacher, your skills have nowhere to go but up over time.

I kinda recommend LTDs too. I went to Davis and the build quality surprised me. They're at least equal with Ibanez's gio guitars, even at the cheaper price. Bang for buck! My particular favourite was the EX-50.

just buy a gibson , solves everything , no fuss , no nonsence . dont make a fuss over cheap stuff

Yeah guitar lessons are the way to go... Definitely would make you improve a lot faster.

I'd add another guitar to the list Krist mentioned: Timbre SR200. Great guitar for the price. Especially praisewothy are the default pickups; they handle higher gain pedals well, with much less noise than some other strat copies. Solid workmanship, excellent playability, good tone. Check 'em out!
