hi bros....

how do you compare this...

let's say stock pickups from
Inf3/Inf4 to Seymour Duncan SH1N & SH4JB...

Guitar is Ibanez RG321..fixed bridge, mahogany body...

do you think it is worth the upgrade..
personally, to me this guitar is very playable and comfortable
that's y the idea to try

will there be significant improvement...??

thanks in advance

''do you think it is worth the upgrade..

i dont really understand that sentence..
but hmm i think there will be an improvement, cuz stock pickups and bought pups usually sound quite different. all depends on you tho

i was hoping someone who had used the sd pickups to reply...

but "u think there will be an improvement"

+1 to JB/Jazz combo. My favs so far and they sit nicely on my Schecter C-1 Classic. Very versatile, suitable for ballad to death metal & anything in between, you name it!

Most of the dudes/dudettes here on Soft will vouch for the JB & Jazz combo.

It'll work on most guitars nicely. Supreme versatility!

i prefer 59+JB combo....i found it very versatile in handling both clean and distortion...i used it on a couple of guitars so far including epi zakk wylde, Ibanez RG, burny LP, etc...never fail me on any single gig...I have bad experience with EMG

I'm using a SH-2n Jazz in the neck and a TB-15 Alternative 8 in the bridge of a Jackson Kelly. The Alt8 is a real high outputter.

i used to have the JB+59 combo in one of my Ibanez but the '59 is too mellow to my liking. the Jazz handles solos better (to my ears, at least) both clean & driven, hence, it's my preferred pairing in my RGA121:

nice RGA121..the more expensive Ibanez fixed bridge i guess...bridge very nice!!

body color is a big plus here!!

all points taken..very encouraging!!

thanks all for replying...

As with the other replies here, an Jazz+JB combo is excellent choice, especially on a basswood body. Makes it a very versatile guitar.

On any other wood type the combo might have its idiosyncracies, though...

many people like the 59/JB but u'll have to wait months for a 59 to come in...most of the time its either booked or sold out. thus i got myself a jazz/full shred combo. its quite interesting, the tones i can get out of it. but u can try the jazz /JB also. its an alternative to the 59/JB, and its more readily available :)
