Question Regarding AIs

Hi all, I'm currently working on a focusrite saffire pro 14 on Reaper and I have a really noob question to ask.

Does anyone know if it's possible to record each individual input on the AI onto a separate track on Reaper simultaneously?

Thanks!

ans to your qns :
yes.
http://www.focusrite.com/products/audio_interfaces/saffire_pro_14/front_and_rear_connectivity/

2 mic preamps on the front #1,2
if you have a mixer or another dedicated preamp to plug into the rear. #3,4

set your DAW to record 4 mono channels (#1,#2,#3,#4) or 2 stereo channels (#1,2 + #3,4)

record at 16bit 44.1khz will do.

avoid latency problems by try closing as many running softwares in the background as much as possible. keep it bare minimal. then tweak around with your buffer settings. around 13ms should be a good bet.

In Reaper with Pro14.
Mic/Inst 1 and 2 are shown as IP1 & IP2 in Reaper
Line In 3 and 4 are shown as IP3 & IP 3 in Reaper

Click the input beside the phase button(under the volume too) to change input of a track.
Note that in Reaper a track can contain midi or audio or both at the same time.
Not like the Garageband that you are used to.
For me, I just buy Groove 3 video in order to learn fast getting around Reaper.
