Question On Pickup Height

Hello there!
I was wondering about something after a jamming session...
does the height of the pickup adjusted affect feedback o.0
For instance using a pedal of substantial amount of gain, in my case i was
using a Proco Rat 2, and also a fuzz factory ( FYI : not used together )
and when left on, the feedback strikes...btw the pups i use are SD cool rails
So does the pickup height affect, or is it because the pups too strong even when at a distance from the amp, or any other reason that i cannot seem to think of ??? Helpzors!! thanks
The room is about i would give a rough estimate of a 3m by 2m

well in general, pickups height affects your output, which does affect your feedback. you can look at it that way.

i think the room is just too damn small to crank up the gain.

pickup height affects primarily the tone, if you're not on active pickups the pups will pick up more lows as it gets closer to the strings.
