Question on Ibanez Artcore Custom

Hi, I hope that someone here can answer my question.

I recently purchased an Ibanez AF125 from swee lee recently and had it set up using .11 flatwound strings. And than I noticed some problems on the 2nd string (B), after just bending the string I noticed a weird buzz noise after every pluck on the string and it continues to persist for a while before it disappears. And this problem seems to appear after I bend the string, even bending halfway causes the buzz noise.

Initially I thought that it was some sort of fret buzz, but I was wrong. Even after muting the string and plucking it, the sound still appeared and it appeared even at the section between the bridge and tailpiece. A bit confused by this and I hope someone is able to answer my question. Thank you.

your Artcore custom comes with an alternative bridge (wooden tune-o-matic type)- try switching to see if the buzz persists 8-)

art custom c/w extra wood bridge?
i like wood bridge, where can i get it? same prob here..
got fed up, i kidnap 3 big bronze strings from my gitar tong & restrung it over my non custom! hehe

You probably can get it from Swee Lee? Since they are the ones who sell Artcores. Either that or the two shops near Maestro (sorry forgot their names!) might carry as i have seen Ibanez Artcores in one and the other carries Epiphone/Gibson semi hollows.

sub, the flames on your custom got umph! ;)
what sort of strings do u prefer to use on them box?

J'bean, have not asked them abt the woodies & they have yet to get back to me on others since 2009
i like the lads from tymc, good stuffs at good price so i hope they do bring in more variations of guitar parts.

i didnt buy that for the flames... in fact, this guitar is one of the easiest to play fast, that's why i got it + i like Ibanez's SUPER 58 humbuckers

i recently bought something fr TYMC- very happy with the service...

ahh super 58? classic '57+ cousin? mine only ach.. yuks.. me no like.. hehe
you only using .95? i thought of trying acoustic set on them, any suggestions?

I'm so happy, been putting it off for quite sometime.. changed new strings
And finally got around replacing a set of old Gibson pups to replace the stock ones..
At the same time tried on my old Nashville nickel bridge & guess what.. it fits fine! yeh...

By the way Burn82,
the buzz sound maybe rattle from the bridge pickup, sometime due to loose screws/spring or
misalignment of pup position, which may cause vibration of the nickel cover against the pickup ring.

:p

and the verdict? I dunno about the rest man..
but I cant justify spending 1k for AF even the custom series,
maybe you can make me change my mind? no puns intended here ok..

:p

if you feel this way, chances are, you will feel happy not buying the guitar, really

i felt this way when i was about to puchase a Les Paul...

Or maybe I'm just being bias.. hehe

I must admit they do make jazz guitars affordable per se..

Come to think of it, I have and had quite a few Ibanez in my arsenal.

:p
