Hi,
I just acquired a 6 string bass and i wish to know how do i adjust the dual truss rods for this.

I've been doing for single truss rods so far, so do i adjust them in such a way that both the bass and treble side have equal relief (ard credit card thickness?

another thing is that i notice the high C is the same thickness of a guitar's bass string, so can i use a guitar string for the high C?

personally I would rather take a 6 string to a shop for truss rod adjustment... double truss rods are a bit more complicated and very dangerous if you dont know what you are doing.

as for the C string, it would depend on how you use it. bass strings will be made from a different material, this in-turn will make a different tone. you can actually try :D if you have a guitar laying around it would be a good harmless experiment. tell us about your experience would be very interesting :D

the relief on the bass side is a bit high, the treble side is alright (using the credit card thickness guideline) I guess lowering a bit on the bass side won't do much harm

1. Raise bridge saddles
2. Loosen both truss rods completely
3. Check bow of neck
4. Tighten uniformly, each time quater of a turn
5. Check bow of neck
6. Repeat process till satisfied with bow/straightness towards treble side
7. Adjust bass side ever so slightly and accordingly till it's even across the board
8. Lower bridge saddles
9. Groove away!
