Ok guys heres the deal

I was building a Way Huge Red Lama Clone.
The build was working entirely fine and i was very satisfied.

A while ago i accidentally spilled some solder onto the CD4049 Opamp chip and now the bloody thing dont work.
I need help here. Is there a place i can purchase Opamps in Singapore or do i have to order from overseas?

*Ps if you are unsure what this thread is asking for kindly avoid it. No trolls please or i will request to lock it and find my help from another forum.

That aside

Your input would be kindly appreciated

not sure if this helps, but i used to buy opamp chips at sim lim, have to ask around though. couple of shops selling, but specific models(chips) are hard to find. :)

cd4049 confirmed have, but it aint an op amp. It can be found easily at sim lim tower 3rd floor. Any of those shops there should have it among the ic chip rack. They have labeling among the component rack

Similar to other ic chips, there will be different manufacturers making the same ic chip. Their way of labeling on the ic chip other than the number cd4049, will have another 1 or 2 alphabet behind the number. For some manufacturers, their version of the 4049 ic chip start with hcf(4049).

Even though the labeling are different or different manufacturers, the chip should work. If wanna play safe, can get couple few from different manufacturers to try out. Its not an expensive ic chip, less than 10bucks can prolly buy one handful of it liao.

Take note of the pin orientation when replacing the chip. There will be an indent on one side of the ic chip. The pin count start from that indent area. Example of the specification sheet/data below has that pin number as well.

Anyway, most if not all ic chip should have its own specification data/sheet available online. If in doubt of anything can just google for it.

Have fun swapping same chip from different manufacturers to hear if theres any different. Considering how cheap some of this chip can be, burning a few, also never mind...
