PT 2 vs Tonetrunk 68

Ok people, I'm torn between these two boards. Lemme hear the pros and cons of both boards to those who are using them.

Essentially the same design, Pedaltrains are much more easily available here and come with choice of hard or softcase. Don't see a point in sourcing for a Tonetrunk.

That's not true as Davis brings in Tonetrunk and its actually cheaper than the PT2. But I've read that the Tonetrunk actual frame is not as sturdy as the PT, so just wanna know if this is just a myth. Its a concern for me as I'm planning to put a Wah pedal on it and that with me being a big guy, might actually be a bad thing for the board, if you get what I mean.

Don't know about the tonetrunk but the PT-2 is really sturdy. I also use a wah on the PT-2 and I've put my whole weight on the wah many times and the board is still ok. Something to note, my wah is on the side of the board so if intend to have yours in the middle I don't know if it can constantly take your weight cos theres less support there. Plus you're most likely heavier than me haha.

Btw, is the tonetrunk cheaper than a 2nd hand PT-2? Cos if they're even in specs then the PT-2 would be my choice because it has a more well known brand name, its easier to sell and accessories like the mounting brackets and soft/hardcases are more widely available.

I've had both for a period of time. I got to say the tonetrunk is very light compared to the pt2. As for sturdyness, I guess you won't stand on the board while playing with your wah so it's really up to you. For both you can still fit a power supply underneath as I did with my chameleon and for a moment the pp2+. The problem is really the gigbags. As you should know that when you mount everything onto either boards, either the straps or the handles fail after some time. As for flightcase, the pt2+ ones are way to heavy especially if you travel and gig overseas. The extra weight means $ but don't bother trying to check in your gigbags if you are going to an airport that is bound to throw your pedalboard.

Choose wisely! Both are good stuff.
