PS2 recording

Hey. I was wondering if anyone knows how to uh..connect a PlayStation 2 to a computer so that u can record stuff from the PS2..such as what is goin on in the game ect...cus i never really took a look la..so if anyone knows how pls lemme know how it can be done ya..thanks

(ps do include any necessary items for such a setup to work)

cannot jus use a cam to record down ah?? cos PS2 doesnt have any slot for u to connect it to either the com or other device...or maybe u wanna try using the USB port in PS2 and see whether it can be connected to com or nt

once when i had my sega saturn. There was this 3rd party device tht captured still graphics frm the game. itz like a printer for tv/saturn/playstation. Though nvr tried it on my playstation coz tht was yrs back n they dont sell the ink refill anymore :lol:

Check if your video card on the PC has a DVI input, if it does, get a converter that converts the inputs into a DVI input, then plug it into your video card's DVI slot. But this way it'll have some lag time because the output of the PS2 is analogue video and the one on the com is digital, will have around 1-3 seconds of delay time depending on your card.

Alternatively, buy a VGA box which will convert your PS2 inputs into a PC input, I think a decent one costs about 60-80 bucks.

After that, use Fraps to record whatever you want while it's playing on the screen.

the trial version only allows a maximum of 30 seconds of recording I think, but the full version can be gotten through *ahem* means.

I used Fraps a long time ago to record videos when I played MMORPGs, for raids and stuff, don't really use it now except for screenshots though

cool. i feel like making a way to hijack the ps2 graphic utility n put it into the pc gpu slot :lol: Tht way life is easier.
