Hi all, i have been playing acoustics for quite sometime and i have decided to try out electrics. The PRS SE singlecut has caught my attention, anyone knows the price of it?
Also, any recommendations for under 800? thanks.

for singlecut guitars you can get maybe the Epiphone Les Paul Studio for around under 800? i know sweelee has it.
but you should be able to find cheaper singlecut guitars if you look hard enough.

Can get an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top @ around $800, Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plain Top @ around $760 from either Standard Value or Guitar77.

OR

PRS Singlecut SE @ around $900 - $950, SE Tremonti @ around $900 - $950 from Davis.

If you ask me, I would recommend either the Epiphone guitars or the SE Tremonti. These guitars have 2 volume control & 2 tone control, so more option for you to play with whenever you need. I have been eyeing on these 2 guitars also.

However if you don't need the extra volume & tone control, all the guitars above are good choice (statement is based on my personal opinion, final decision is up to you).

If they had a PRS SE Singlecut with four knobs and pickup selector on the upper bout WITHOUT it being a signature guitar, I would totally buy it oh and some type of awesome metal pickups too SD or EMG

damn bird inlays are the bomb..if only they have it on their SEs.

for a guitar hobbyist, playing for fun..do you guys think buying a full-fledged PRS guitar (non-se ones, not that the ses are crap) is worth it?

If you're not serious about guitar, don't splurge on an expensive full-fledged PRS guitar... It doesn't justify the cost especially if the guitar ends up under-played. That's my point of view...
