protective plugs for input sockets

you know how is it that when you leave 1/4" input sockets open for a long time, they will start to tarnish and what not.

any recommendations for a protective cover?

i'm looking for something like that for these types of sockets - 1/4", 1/8", RCA.

i was thinking of using those 1/8" to 1/4" convertors to use as a protector somewhat, but any other solutions would be great.

RCAs arent supposed to be plugged in and out, they spoil easy. really easy =|

i dont know if there are protectors, esp for 1/8"... 1/4" inch ones if u wanna keep it for a long time get those anti oxidation ones and if they do tarnish just wipe with a damp cloth of naptha?

RCA might come with protector covers since their shape is so funny its gonna be prone to corners u cant clean, mm... tell me if u do find such protection covers!

oops sry misread =X

then its simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY SIMPLE!

go buy jack heads. just the head. for RCA, get an RCA head and plug it in.
for a 1/4", get that head (converter cheap one will do fine too) and plug it in, should help (u can put a light ring of silicon around the bottom of the head so that there's air-tightness. make sure the silicon dries up b4 u plug in, u dont want it to get stuck)
for an 1/8", u can get an old cable that u dont need/spoilt (i have a few) and cut off the wire so u get this 1inch long thing. most of the time 1/8" heads are too small and u dont want something that u cant pull out easily (some 1/4" heads will have some portions sticking out of the jack so yeah heads will be fine for 1/4")

haha. i thought of that also. just thought maybe there is an 'official' protector for those things. haha.
