If you have a song that you want to showcase to the world and have a passionate desire to perform in front of a crowd, here’s how you can take part in this contest!
PHASE 1: Call For Entries
(1 June 2016 - 25 July 2016)
Record your original song performance in video or audio and upload it to YouTube or SoundCloud in any language. Submit the link, as well as a short biography of yourself and the inspiration behind your original song, to us!
All entries must be submitted by 12 noon, 25 July (GMT +8HRS)
PHASE 2: Voting Period
(29 July 2016 – 22 August 2016)
The top 15 entries will be profiled and opened up to a voting process. After which, the top 5 entries will be selected based on public votes (40%) and MTV's judging (60%). This is the time where votes are garnered and you could be in the running to win USD$10,000!
Voters stand a chance to win USD$1,000 too!
PHASE 3: Finals
(26 August 2016)
- Top 5 entries from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand (collectively known as Southeast Asia) will perform at a Finals event in Bangkok.
- Top 5 entries from Greater China will perform at the Finals event at an Aloft hotel in China.
- Top 5 entries from India will perform at the Finals event at an Aloft hotel in India respectively.
- Top 5 entries from Korea will perform at the Finals event at an Aloft hotel in Korea respectively.
PHASE 4: Winners Announcement
Mid-September
After going through the process of Submissions, Voting and the Finals, a panel of judges will determine the Project Aloft Star winner from each cluster.
Winners will be announced, taking home the USD$10,000 prize!
