Problems on floyd rose bridge!

No no Hydro - you're right. The Gotoh is a little lighter even though it has that brass block (which is heavily machined with holes and what not).
Feel is important so you have a relevant point there. Interesting.
I've thought to have an OFR base plate but coupled with the Gotoh saddes (which are much much much better made than the OFR's) for a hybrid of sorts.
The OFR Base plate costs 30USD if I am not wrong. Not too bad eh? But I'd need a new trem block, trem block screws and the arm assembly. Then its a little bad.

Ok..now i understand more..but I have done everthing to keep it stay in tune...like locking the nut really tight...but after sometimes it still get out of tune....so should I get a Gotoh Licensed Floyd Rose system?

Hi, having to hear that ur strings always go out of tune however to my experience with my Charvel, (more than 15 yrs of service), still in tune whenever i change my strings. Well a lot of great guitarist in the 80's using FR guitars which mostly, have no problems with their tuning after divebombs or whatsoever.
Set up of FR guitars need a lot of time(yes really a lot of time wasting) especially in tunings, however nowdays FR tremolo (w or w/o brand) is much more better than "those days" tremolo. Maybe you would need someone who is able to help you learn the correct technique practically.
Possibilities to ur problem may be due to
1) Change of string gauge
2) Tension of the spring
3) Spring set up
4) Pulling up the strings to tune(careful not to break the strings)
5) Intonation of ur trem bridge
6) Change of string height(maybe)
7) Loose locking nut
8) Other possibilities
Maybe you would like to experiment(trial and error) yourself first instead of buying new trem, which can save you money. and hopefully you can tune up ur FR guitar perfectly.

try to have it set up from a guitar tech.
I used to have that problem before I had guitars set from an experienced tech. after several fine tuning at the balance of the floating bridge, springs and neck the guitar became stable even when you abuse the whammy bar.
of course eventually it will get out of tune after some time of abuse just like any other floating trems. I guess a good guitar setup will get you across 2 to 3 trem abusive songs before it goes a bit flat or sharp depends on how you use it.

its not just a quality issue,its a matter of springs,nuts placed well, string locked well
setup properly and finnaly the floyd height is just correct
Thats why id ont prefer floyd rose much cause im a lazy guy and the hassle of doing all the things just for a floyd isnt preety

There is such a thing as a bad quality product isn't there?
In the case of the Floyd Rose trem and its licensed versions, there are also poor quality stuff.
There are trems made of softer metals... and they just don't keep in tune. Most (if not all) of the TRS, Lo-TRS, TRS II trems found on the old cheaper Ibanez guitars. The ILT1 trem found on the older JEM555 guitars is another wonderful example of craptacular trems.
When you've done your homework and it just wouldn't stay in tune - time to consider upgrading.

I've owned 03 gtrs with licensed floyds and dont have any prblm with them. (lucky bastid I am!) An IBZ RG560, a Vantage and the recently sold Craftsman.
I do my own set-up.
So, off the top of my head. I'd check these few things (not in any order) first before getting a replacement or bringing it to a QUALIFIED tech for a set-up.
1. Is the neck OK/stable? Its overlooked more often!
2. What abt the locking nuts plates? Are they worn out? Have you tried swopping/turning them around? Tightening them will not help if the plates are worn out.
3. Any residue on the nuts or bridge that may be the caused of this?
4. Which strings usually go out of tune? Is it out of tune when you play open strings or when you fret them?
5. Are the bridge saddles and nut smooth and not nicked?
6. Tried a new set of strings?
7. Are the pivot pins secured and stable to the guitar body?
8. The tension springs secure?
Hope you find a 'cure' and good luck!

U guys know what..I think i have to really sit down, eyes on my guitar to reli2look what causes it..hehe..coz its like weird where some of u guyz use similar FR like mine but stays in tune really well

I seldom have to stretch the strings.
When restringing - I have the trem on the guitar, a bit of cloth behind to get it into position. Put the low E in... then bring it to tension, take out the cloth. Then I'll continue restringing. Every new string, I'll just hold the bar down so I can access the string locks at the back of the floyd. Attached? Let go and then tighten the string. That process stretches the strings.
By the time I'm done, I'll just clean up a little bit more, let the guitar sit for a few more minutes or just do some simple bending - done, lock up and that's that for 1 whole month till the next string change.
Over stretching kills the strings anyway.
